Studio Light Room hosted its second annual Father’s Day Drawing Contest at Jersey Avenue Elementary in Santa Fe Springs, California. We asked the students to: Draw what you like to do for fun with your dads. We had hundreds of entries that showcased the children’s creativity, imagination and humor. We chose two winners that received a 16″x20″ canvas print reproduction of their original drawings. The canvases were ready to hang and made for a perfectly unique Father’s Day gift!

With so much digital technology surrounding us these days, we always like to take a step back and look at what we did and how it was done without it. Mother’s Day Canvas Prints

We love the orders that we received for Mother’s day. This year we had a few custom canvas print orders of some awesome baby and child photography from Little Waves Photography. These two 16″x20″ gallery wrapped canvases stood out to us because not only of the great photography, but how they were designed. The collage idea was a great way to show more than one photo. Adding the baby’s name is a personal touch that made these canvas prints very unique and personal. With the images wrapped on the sides, these canvas prints look great when hung on a wall and viewed from all angles. We could only imagine the reaction of the mothers who received these canvas prints as gifts.

Putting Old Photos on Canvas

We loved how this canvas print project came together. A customer of ours told us that she had this print lying around for several years. It was a photograph her cousin shot and he gave her the print. She loved the photo so much, but could never decide how to display it. She felt having the photograph framed was too traditional and she wanted something a bit different. She stumbled upon our website and had the photograph scanned and printed on our matte canvas. What started out as a simple black and white photograph then became an artistic expression on her wall just as the shot itself.

Cuba on Canvas

Here is a recent canvas print project we did for a good friend of ours. She sent over some great photos that were taken on her vacation in Cuba. These canvas prints were a gift for her boyfriend and we found out he was super happy with the results.
